Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of New Britain Released Inmates. By using the site, you agree to follow them. If you do not agree, stop using the site and contact the official record custodian directly.

This is a private site with no government affiliation. It is not a consumer reporting agency, and its information cannot be used for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Nature of the Service

The site organizes links and explanatory material about New Britain Police, Connecticut court and corrections records, parole and probation, VINE, federal custody, and immigration custody. It does not operate a jail, hold an official roster, release anyone, or control a government record.

Acceptable Use

You may use the site only for lawful, personal reference and official-record navigation. You must not disrupt security, scrape or overload the service, introduce harmful code, impersonate another person, evade access controls, misuse personal information, or use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, discriminate, or commit fraud. Automated copying and commercial republication require prior written permission.

No FCRA Use

New Britain Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Content from this site or a linked search tool must not be used for credit, employment, hiring, insurance, housing, tenant screening, background checks, or any other FCRA-covered eligibility or decision-making purpose. This restriction is a condition of use.

Outside Links and Tools

Links lead to government agencies and third-party providers. A link does not mean that the destination is endorsed, accurate, available, or controlled by this site. Third-party search providers set their own prices, terms, privacy rules, and result methods. You deal with them directly and at your own risk.

No Warranties

The site is supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, all express and implied warranties are disclaimed, including warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and noninfringement. Government offices can change records, fees, contacts, hours, and interfaces without notice.

Liability Limits

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost opportunity, or costs arising from access, inability to access, reliance on content, or use of an outside tool. Any direct liability is limited to the amount, if any, you paid this site for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Your Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site and its operators from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, violation of these terms, infringement of another person's rights, or misuse of records and personal information.

Intellectual Property

The site's original text, organization, branding, and design are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Government records and third-party material remain subject to the rights and rules of their owners. A link does not transfer ownership.

Changes and Access

These terms may change by posting a revised version. Continued use after posting means acceptance. Access may be suspended or revoked at any time for misuse, security needs, legal compliance, or operational reasons, with or without notice where law permits.

Connecticut Law

These terms are governed by Connecticut law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law controls. Any dispute must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction and venue.

Severability

If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the rest will remain effective. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver.

Questions About These Terms

Questions may be sent through the Contacts page. Custody, release, bond, court, and official-record questions must go to the responsible government office.
